The group then reconvened outside, and interrogated Victor about why he has two Monokuma themed pins on his lapel. Their phones had also been confiscated, so they had no contact with the outside world.Īfter this bombshell, the group left to go decompress and check out the cabins they would be living in. They learned that while they were all knocked unconscious on the bus ride to the camp, they all had a microchip implanted in their necks that has the ability both to shock and to paralyze. The camp was isolated from civilization for miles and miles, surrounded by a wired fence which alerts Monokuma if they were to try and escape (presumably leading to their death). If the other campers identified them as the killer, the killer would be executed. If they succeed, the rest of the campers would die, and the killer would go free. The students learned they were trapped at the camp for the rest of their lives, and were to be forced into a killing game where they must kill one of their fellow campers and get away with it. They will be away from their families at the camp for 3 months.Īfter introductions with all the other students, they all proceeded into a common room where they met Monokuma, the "camp counselor". The camp would run annually each summer to bring the Ultimates together and "simulate" a typical Ultimate Academy environment so the Ultimates feel less isolated from one another. American Ultimates get their education differently from the rest of the world - they do their learning online, rather than going to a specialized Ultimate Academy, and so do not meet with their peers. She saw Jesse Miles, and she remembered they were going to a special camp designed to "bring together the Ultimates of America". Protagonist Kim Davis, the Ultimate Mountaineer, woke up on a bus, confused about where she was or where she was going. This plot summary contains major spoilers for Danganronpa V4: Rocky Restarts!
